Australian golfer Minjee Lee has confirmed she will be travelling to Tokyo to compete in the green and gold after taking out the Evian Championship in France on Sunday.
The 25-year-old came from seven shots back to beat South Korea’s Lee Jeongeun and claim her first major championship.
Lee confirmed she would be joining Cameron Smith, Marc Leishman and Hannah Green in the endeavour of claiming Australia’s first medal in golf after a brief stopover in Dallas to see family.
“The Olympics have been on the back of my mind since Rio,” Lee said. “So I’m really excited to play and go out there and rep my country.”
